What We’re All About
The beginning of 2019 see’s the collaboration of Hockey Victoria and all the associations located in the North West quadrant of Victoria, Hockey Central Vic, North Central HA, Sunraysia HA and Wimmera HA to coming together to provide an Elite pathway from under 13’s right through to Vic League 1 Mens and Womens.
The current CV Blazers teams will evolve and become a regional team known as the North West Lightning for the 2019 season. The new entity will be entering teams into Hockey Victoria Vic League 1 and Vic League 1 Reserves Mens, Womens and the Under 16 mixed Shield competitions becoming the third regional representative team entering the elite Hockey Victoria competitions.
This collaboration will bring with it junior development pathways to allow for greater hockey success in our region and to provide all juniors within our associations an elite hockey pathway in the North West area of Victoria and ease the burden of distance in having to travel to Melbourne to achieve at the highest level.
We boast a strong representation in the State League Men and Women's Competition.
We value enjoyable, quality hockey with a great social environment, that is inclusive of all. North West Lighting has an opportunity for YOU to be involved, that may include; coaching, playing or volunteering in a variety of roles.
Since being formed we developed a rich and proud history of success at the high level of Victorian Hockey.
