Vale Andrew Maggs

On Sunday our CV Blazers/North West Lightning family lost a player, a coach, a friend but most of all a cracking individual. On Sunday morning Andrew Maggs lost his valiant battle with cancer.

Maggsy fought his battle with the same tenacity that he showed as a player on the field while at the same time he made sure that everyone else was being cared for and looked after, specially Joey and the boys. We will be forever grateful for his commitment to CV Blazers and North West Lightning, most recently as Lahny’s co-coach this year. Maggsy worked to make sure every single player across the team improved. Maggsy was an absolute Champion and will be greatly missed by all those that had the privilege to know him.

Our condolences are with Joey, Samuel and Leo and the Maggs and Plowright families at this time.
